Where words fail, Music speaks....

About Gwen

A Dynamic Singer with versatility, outstanding vocal range, and a stage presence that captivates audiences and draws them into a unique musical experience.

A seasoned solo performer with 30 years experience, Gwen can perform anything from Janis Joplin to Nat King Cole.

Gwen's performance is both full and fun. Playing acoustic and electric guitars, Gwen is backed by a 'Band in a Box' that she has cheerfully nicknamed 'Mr. Peabody and the Way Back Machine'.
Each backing track features 'actual sampled instruments', which Gwen has programmed herself, to create the most realistic "Full Band" sound possible.

Gwen's professional credits include singing song demos for renown songwriter Larry Bastian who penned "Rodeo" and "Unanswered Prayers" recorded by Garth Brooks, working with the late Buck Owens & the Buckaroos, the late Vassar ClementsGloria Loring, and dear friend, the late Curly Musgrave to name a few.

A bluegrass tribute album to the Grateful Dead called "Dead Grass featuring Vassar Clements" was recorded in Nashville in 2000 and included amazing vocal interpretations. It received raved reviews in various magazines and from the Grateful Dead band and the songwriters themselves.
Along with the late, great Vassar Clements, numerous Nashville musicians and singers added to the album which received airplay on Americana stations all over the world.  "Brown Eyed Women", one cut on the album, reached the top 40 in the Netherlands and remained there for many weeks.

In 2005, Gwen had the priviledge to produce a local production in Lake Arrowhead with the amazing Gloria Loring, now a resident in our mountain community.  Finding local talent to entertain, Gwen and Gloria produced a stellar show. Both sang solo arrangements and performed a Duet together to the sold out event.   The local Christmas extravaganza was also produced by the Dynamic Duo. and proved to be a great success.

In September 2010, while performing at "The Bin 189" at the Lake Arrowhead Resort Hotel, Gwen had the unique opportunity to play with the great Stevie Wonder during one of her club engagements. After listening to Gwen performing a 3 hour set, Stevie invited her into the private dining room where he and his family were seated. He talked and sang with Gwen and held her hand for the duration of the talk.  Stevie agreed to do Superstion with her on stage.  It was an amazing event that is still being talked about in Gwen's local community.
